Panthers maul Tigers
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Porterville High’s Tanaya Williams was a powerhouse Friday, as she struck out 11 batters and gave up just two hits in an 11-1 route of the Delano Tigers.
Jenny Pacada was the losing pitcher in the five-inning game played at Porterville.
Everybody was involved in a team effort: second baseman Lane Johnson was 2-for-4, Shortstop Sabrina Jimenez was 1-for-3 with 3RBIs, Deanell Dohrman was 2-for-3, first baseman Megan Pengilly was 2-for-3 with an RBI and right fielder Laura Jaggers was 2-for-3.
The Panthers are 3-5 in the EYL, and 9-10 overall.
Their next game is Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. at Tulare Union High School.
