The Marauders’ league-title hopes took a serious hit with a loss in Tulare, Wednesday.
The Mustangs used a 4-2 first round as a springboard to victory (the teams tied at 3-3 in each of the subsequent rounds).
Jasmine Martinez won three matches — including her second of the season over Brooke Hillman — but Monache (4-2-2 EYL) was swept in singles in round three, eliminating a chance at victory.
Karli Miller and Allie Mejia won a key second-round doubles match 7-6 (7-2) while fellow doubles teams Kellie Agtarap-Shannon Cruess and Missy Ellis-Noreen Baloch also got wins.
