Western out-drives Monache by 47 strokes
Tulare Western 221, Monache 268
If the Mustangs' girls golf team keeps this up, they'll start rivaling Porterville's boys team for best in the Valley.
Western's top two girls, Kodie Stanley and Tara Stafford, each shot a 39 on Thursday — just three over par — to pace their squad past visiting Monache.
Nate Jessup and Kris Kennel would be proud.
Jackie Ramirez led the Marauders by shooting a 49 while No. 2 Devon Meredith was close behind with a 51.
Daley Roche finished with a 56 and Kim Leyva carded 55 from the third and fourth spots, respectively.
No. 5 Quincy Randhawa (57) and No. 6 Zoey Randhawa (62) round out Monache's six.
Jordan Lappadula shot a 44 from Western's third slot and Brianna Hollingshead a 50 from the fourth.
