THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

The Porterville boys’ water polo team’s season came to an end in Kingsburg, Tuesday night, in the first round of the Divison II playoffs.

Paced by seven goals from hole set Christian Janzen, the No. 7 Vikings rolled to a 14-7 win.

“He took us to school that’s for sure,” Panthers coach Mickey Goularte said. “When we finally made the adjustment to stop him, they had other players step up and score. There was just too many guys for us to watch for.”

Janzen scored four goals in the first half, putting Kingsburg up 8-3.

Dakota Schieler and Luke Peltzer led the No. 10 Panthers (12-9) with three goals apiece.
