The Monache and Porterville girls’ golf teams saw their seasons come to an end in Kingsburg, Tuesday afternoon.

Monache, sparked by a 110 from senior Daley Roche, finished in fifth place — out of nine teams — by shooting a 585 at the Area Golf Tournament at the Kings River Golf and Country Club.

The Panthers finished sixth (643) with junior Mina Hassanshahi’s 122 pacing them.

Junior Marauder Jackie Ramirez was close behind Roche with a 112 while sophomore Devon Meredith shot a 115. Zoey Randhawa and Quincy Randhawa rounded out the Marauders’ top five in carding a 120 and 128, respectively.

Porterville’s Lauren Minter followed Hassanshahi with a 126 with Kassandra Carabay (130), Summer Davis (131) and Jacquelyn Forrester (134) completing their scorecard.

Minter and Carabay each recorded birdies for the Panthers, on holes 9 and 12, respectively, in the team’s first-ever Area appearance.

Redwood won the tournament with a 514 while EYL kingpin Tulare Western was second with a 515. Both teams will continue their seasons at the Valley meet.
