Davis, Hassanshahi lead Panthers past Redskins

The Porterville girls’ golf team improved to 6-3 in EYL play with a 296-333 win over Tulare Union, Tuesday night, at River Island Country Club.

Sophomore Summer Davis was the medalist, shooting 51 while junior Mina Hassanshahi was close behind, carding a 52.

Hassanshahi also birdied hole No. 7.

Sophomore Lauren Miller contributed to the win by shooting a 58, as well.

Porterville travels to Delano to take on Cesar Chavez at 4 p.m., Thursday.
