Lindsay notches 2nd league win
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Lindsay Cardinals continued their stunning ESL season by edging Orosi 21-14, Friday night.
After a scoreless first half that featured multiple turnovers by both teams, Cardinals running back Jonathan Duarte went off in the second.
The junior running back broke two big gains for scores, while quarterback/running back Adam Gamboa added the third touchdown.
Following the Gamboa touchdown, coach Robert Hurtado attempted to catch Orosi off guard with an onside kick, but the kick landed in Orosi’s arms.
The short field allowed Orosi to score and bring the game within seven points, but the Cardinals’ defense stiffened up in the fourth quarter to hold onto their season’s third win.
Lindsay is now 3-6 on the season and finishes up against Woodlake next week.
