Monarchs clinch tie for CSL's 2nd place

Though Exeter volleyball went out of the 2009 season with a loss, the consolation is that the Monarchs still tied Immanuel for second place in league action.
The resume — 22-7 overall, 9-3 CSL — is complete. Now all they can do is wait for Saturday's seedings to determine the their first move in hopes of repeating as Division III Valley champions.
Amanda Monge led the team with 13 kills and four blocks as Exeter scored 22, 17 and eight points against the Cavaliers while taking the third game 25-12.
Tiffany Diaz and Ashtyn Atkinson added nine and eight kills, respectively. Setters Tori Davis and Patricia Brito combined for 31 assists.
