Monache boys’ tennis defeated Immanuel and Merced — each by scores of 4-2 — while falling 6-0 to Sunnyside, Friday, at the Clovis Tournament.

No. 1 singles Goldie Rayani finished 1-for-3 in his matches, but the losses came to the Valley’s sixth- and 10th-ranked singles.

No. 2 Brandon Nucum lost all three of his matches and No. 3 Awais Khalid also went 1-for-3.

The Marauders doubles teams had a little more success as the team of Drexler Alcantar and Mark Acoba won their first two before bowing out to Sunnyside in the finals.

Rocky Phaphol and Mark Daen, as well as Jimmy Phraphilomlasuck and John Dava, finished 2-for-3 as well.
