Lindsay rocks Farmersville in season opener

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

Lindsay 16, Farmersville 4

Lindsay, which will host a number of games in the Strathmore Tournament, dominated Farmersville after four players from the Cardinals’ hoops squad had little time to settle in.

“They hadn’t even touched a softball,” Lindsay coach Brett Kendig said.

One of those four, Renee Alvarado, hit the ground running with two hits, as did Lele Misaalefua (who added an RBI and three runs) and Sammie Jauregui (who had three stolen bases).

Veronica Millan led the team by going 3-of-4 at bat with a double and three RBI. Kassidy Kendig also had an RBI.

Senior pitcher Hayley Kendig recorded five strikeouts in four innings for Lindsay, who plays CVC today.
