Crow, Redskins too much for Marauders
Tulare Union 10, Monache 1
Tulare Union pitcher Lauren Crow returned from injury and quickly re-established herself as the EYL’s premier pitcher, spotting just one hit to Monache, Wednesday.
“She pitched a dominating game against us,” Monache coach Dave Koontz said. “She’s a Division-I pitcher.”
Monache’s Chandra Jones tripled against Crow for the only Marauder hit, then scored on a passed ball to third base.
Freshman pitcher Raeleen Torres allowed eight hits in seven innings for the third-place Marauders (9-15, 7-4 EYL).
The Marauders, who finish the season against Porterville on Friday, gave up six runs in the fourth inning.
