PC volleyball beats COS

 

The Porterville College volleyball team kept at least a share of first place in the Central Valley Conference and moved one step closer to a state playoff berth with a hard earned 25-23, 25-15, 24-26, 26-24 win at College of the Sequoias on Friday.
PC improved to 13-6 and 9-1 in the CVC. Amanda Monge had 20 kills, six blocks, 18 digs and was 16-of-18 serving with one ace, Allison Clem had 13 kills, nine digs and was 8-of-8 serving, Tori Davis had six kills, two blocks, five digs and was 18 of 19 serving with three aces and Stephanie Dounseroux had 37 assists, seven kills, two blocks and 13 digs and was 17-of-17 serving.
Davis finished off the match with a changeup short serve that landed just over the net for an ace on match point, “It was awesome,” PC coach Dale Henderson said.
