Granite Hills wrestling is proving they’re for real after defeating Cesar Chavez, Thursday night, and improving to 7-3 overall.
135-pounder Jesus Ayon set the tone with his second pin in league and his third victory to go with zero losses.
Martin Ayala, James Capps, Raul Mata and Nathan Luketta also pinned their respective opponents while Chris Sides won his by decision. Basilio Arroyo notched a victory as did Armando Gamboa, who took the 112-pound match by forfeit for the Grizzlies (2-1 EYL).
Granite’s JV team also won, 34-33, and improved to 8-1 overall and 2-1 EYL.
